About me

I was both April 25th, 1989 under a nearly full Sagittarius moon and have lived in California all my life. I picked up my first guitar at age 5. Before that, I had attended New Orleans Jazz Festival the first three years of my life with my parents before my little brother was born. My mother raised me in yoga studios and on the trails of the hills that create the San Fernando Valley. She always sang jazz around the house, as both her parents were jazz musicians. I am a student of Rudolf Steiner. I believe his form of education saved my life.

Traditional learning environments were hard for me growing up. At age 12, I attended Highland Hall, a Waldorf School in Los Angeles, graduating in 2007. Then, at 18, I moved to San Francisco to attend University of San Francisco where I received my BA in Media Studies with a minor in film and music. I became immersed in the lessons of the Bay Area, learning from many-a great teachers and the spirit of the beautifully complicated city’s namesake, Saint Francis.

After over a decade there, I moved to Oakland, the ancestral home of my maternal grandparents. It was there that I discovered the gift of sobriety after navigating fun, wild, harrowing and painful years of alcoholic drinking. During my 5 plus years in the East Bay, I received my MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College, a sound healing certification from Globe Institute in Sausalito and completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training from Aura Kundalini Academy.

I have since moved to Marin, living in the redwood grove of my dreams. I’ve never been so grateful to wake up to nature everyday. I travel far and wide to be in communion with the earth, my community and my loved ones. I seize opportunity from a place of inspired action and excitement. I show up for the difficult tasks, knowing that the right things is not always the easiest thing. Spirit guides me, always, and I heed its beaconed call. I am a child of the earth and I envision experiencing the world, sharing my gifts with whoever and wherever I can be most of service.
